At Eastern Hills Painting we always apply two coats of paint, guaranteed! In most cases, two coats are necessary for proper encapsulation.
We will work with you to help you select a finish that best suits your needs. Paint finish comes in four general categories:

Flat or matte finish has the least amount of shine and provides great coverage. However, it is the least durable type of paint, and we recommend it for low-traffic areas.

Eggshell finish provides low sheen and is more durable than flat finish. We recommend this finish for living rooms, hallways, and entryways.

Satin finish is the most common type of interior paint finish. It has a velvety sheen and is easy to clean. It is an excellent choice for high-traffic areas like kitchens, playrooms, family rooms, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.

Gloss or semi-gloss finish is the most durable and washable type of finish. It is shiny and reflective and is best used for doors, trim, and cabinetry.
Yes. However, there will be an additional cost for a colour change. The additional cost will be determined by how much of the job is completed as well as the cost of the additional paint.

This depends on the size and scope of the job as well as the amount of preparation required. If any repairs are to be done before paint is applied, this will extend the time it takes to complete the project. We can help move heavy furniture items towards the center of the room. We do ask that you remove any fragile or breakable items as well as furniture and items of special value or meaning. Please remove all items on the walls, such as pictures, mirrors, or clocks, as well as any curtains and window coverings.

Our team will paint around the hanging hardware on the walls or we can remove it if the items are not going back up. We will repair the wall before painting.
Our crew will properly cover and protect all items, furniture, flooring, carpeting, and unpainted surfaces with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, tape, and so on, as needed.

We do ask that you remove smaller items, any fragile and valuable items, and anything hanging on the walls before our crew arrives.
We will remove wallpaper prior to painting. Before we remove the wallpaper, we will test an area to see how the paper was applied. If the wallpaper was not applied properly, the walls might be damaged during the removal. If that is the case, we will discuss your options with you.

Once the wallpaper is removed, we will paint the walls or apply new wallpaper, depending on your needs.

We will fill old holes, cracks, and dents in the walls; repair corners; seal stains and scuff; and sand surfaces as part of our preparation. We recommend waiting 48 hours for the paint to dry, and we recommend that you use a fan. If not given the proper time to cure, the paint can bubble.
