2 Year Limited Warranty

When you undertake a significant expense such as painting your house, you should feel confident that someone will be available to handle your concerns if something goes wrong.

We at Eastern Hills Painting take great pride and care in our quality long-lasting workmanship. Every job we do comes with a warranty guaranteeing your job is done right or we will fix it. We are not done until you are happy!

THE FOLLOWING IS OUR WARRANTY POLICY:

For this warranty to be valid, you must:

  • Retain a copy of the original contract.
  • Present evidence of payment in full.
  • Make the property accessible to us to perform the repairs.

Subject to the limitations set forth below, for a period of 24 months from the date of the completion of the work described in your contract, Eastern Hills Painting will repair cracking, blistering, peeling or chipping paint resulting from defective workmanship.

Contact Eastern Hills Painting by phone so that we can understand the nature and extent of your concerns, arrange for an inspection of your property, and plan for performing additional work as needed.

Under this limited warranty, Eastern Hills Painting will perform all covered repairs at no cost to you. Repairs will be performed on the specific areas where cracking, blistering, peeling or chipping has occurred to the level of surface preparation described in the original contract. We will perform a colour match as much as possible. However, an exact colour match cannot be assured, as environmental conditions can affect paint colour over time.

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Any work where Eastern Hills Painting did not supply the paint or other materials.
  • Any work which was not performed by Eastern Hills Painting or where a non-employee of Eastern Hills Painting has attempted to do surface preparation.
  • Exact colour or texture match as environmental conditions will affect the colour and finish of all paints over time.
  • Repairs to any horizontal surfaces or any surface that, by virtue of/ its structural design, allows moisture to collect. This includes, but is not limited to, decks, railings, stairs, and porches.
  • Any repairs that are needed due to a defect in the paint itself, regardless of whether the paint was supplied by Eastern Hills Painting or the customer. This includes, but is not limited to, fading, chalking, flashing, and lapping.
  • Varnished or natural finished wood surfaces.
  • Surfaces made of, or containing, galvanized metal.
  • The appearance of mildew, mould, or any other environmental conditions.
  • Any paint peeling as a result of moisture intrusion or elimination.

This limited warranty does not cover cracking, blistering, peeling or chipping caused by:

  • Ground movement or settling.
  • Cracks in drywall, plaster, or wood.
  • Surfaces are made of galvanized metal.
  • Structural defects.
  • Moisture content.
  • Ordinary wear and tear.
  • Abnormal use or misuse.
  • Peeling of prior layers of paint existing before the work performed by Eastern Hills Painting.
  • Abrasion, mechanical damage, abrasive cleaning, abuse or damage resulting from improper use of chemicals or cleaning agents.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY MADE BY EASTERN HILLS PAINTING AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS WARRANTY COVERS ONLY THOSE SERVICES PROVIDED BY EASTERN HILLS PAINTING TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER NAMED ON THE FRONT OF THE JOB CONTRACT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CONTRACTOR BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE OR DAMAGES ABOVE THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT PRICE. THIS WARRANTY MAY NOT BE ALTERED OR EXTENDED FOR ANY PURPOSE UNLESS DONE SO IN WRITING IN A DOCUMENT EXECUTED BY ALL PARTIES TO THIS CONTRACT.
